Getting started

Thank you for purchasing the Rental S3A template. On this page we cover how to edit basic elements (i.e. colors, fonts, CMS content, etc) from the Rental S3A Webflow template.

If you are not very familiar with Webflow, we highly recommend you to take the Webflow 101 Crash Course from Webflow University, as it will teach you all the basics to get up and running.

Styling

In this section we'll show you how to make basic style changes to the Rental S3A template.

Colors

Rental S3A template is built using variables, you can easily edit a color variable to be updated across the entire site.

To edit a variable, go to the Variables tab in the left sidebar, find the variable you wish you edit, and then change the hex value.

Fonts

Rental S3A uses one single font side-wide, and it's set up in the "Body (All Pages)" selector. You can easily update the font for the whole site by changing the default font on the "Body (All Pages)" selector.

On any page, click the Navigator tab in the left sidebar, then select "Body" at the top, then click the style selector field and click the pink label "Body (All Pages)".‍

Once the "Body (All Pages)" tag is selected, go to "Typography" section below and change the font to any font of your choice.

If you need a custom or premium font that is not available by default on Webflow, you can go to Project Settings > Fonts where you will be able to upload custom fonts.

Graphics & Icons

To edit the color of icons simply change the class on the icon or change the typography color. By default we have assigned the class "text-color-pink" to all our icons to fit with Rental S3A branding.

Editing Pages

In this section we cover how to edit content on each page.

Static Content

Static Content is all the content that is written directly on each page, which means that it is not dynamic, and doesn't come from a CMS (like a Blog Post, for example).

If you want to edit this type of content, you can double click the element on the page, once double-clicked you'll see a flashing cursor signifying that you may type.

Dynamic Content (CMS)

Dynamic Content is all the content that is pulled from a CMS collection.

You can update this content a few different ways:

1. Directly in the CMS - our recommended way of updating CMS content.
2. On-page  editing - the same way you edit static content, by double clicking the content you wish you change. This will also update the content in the CMS.
3. Uploading a .csv file to your CMS - only recommended for advanced users.

Additional Information

In this section we share a few practices that have are helpful when developing websites with Webflow.

Backups

If you make a mistake and can't undo it (cmd + z) you can restore the previous version of the site via Backups.

Editing Meta Title, Desc and Featured Image

To customize the Meta Title, Description, and Image, you can go to the Page settings section in the left Sidebar. Click the Settings icon of the page you would like to customize, edit the meta  tags, and click save before closing the page settings window.

Rental S3A Webflow Template Support
